Here’s what you can expect when you hire us:
We build it from the deck up. Every seam, vent, and flashing point gets done with care. We don’t rush it, especially around tricky edges or valleys.
If the roof’s rusting or leaking, we take it down to the deck and rebuild it properly, no shortcuts, no guesswork.
One bad panel or a slow leak? We’ll find it, fix it, and stop it from getting worse.
We look over fasteners, sealant, flashing, the stuff that matters. Quick, simple, no hard sell.
Skylight cutouts, ridge caps, snow guards, colour-matched trim. We do the finishing work that makes the whole roof look sharp and hold up better over time.

These are the tall vertical panels with no visible screws. Super clean look. They hold up great in heavy snow and ice, which makes them a favourite around Rockland and Westchester.

Are a bit more affordable and quicker to install. You’ll still get solid protection, especially for garages, barns, or outbuildings.

Mimic the look of regular shingles or even cedar, but with way better durability. Some homeowners like them because they blend into the neighbourhood better.

We’ve installed aluminum, steel, copper, and even zinc; each one has its strengths. Aluminum’s good near saltwater. Copper ages beautifully but costs more. Steel is the standard around here because of its strength-to-cost ratio.

Shingles are still the go-to for most homes here. They’re cost-effective, come in plenty of styles, and hold up well when installed right. We work with GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed architectural shingles, built to take years of New York winters and hot summers.

Slate gives a roof a classic look and can last a lifetime, but it only pays off if it’s installed correctly. We set each piece with care, making sure the deck, flashing, and stone all line up tight to keep water out.

Clay, concrete, or composite tiles bring curb appeal and strength. They’re heavier than most materials, so we make sure the framing and flashing are solid before they go on. Done right, a tile roof can last for decades.

Cedar shakes add warmth and natural insulation to a home. We install both traditional cedar and newer synthetic options, always with proper venting and barriers to keep moisture from creeping in.

Flat roofs need extra attention to drainage, or water will find a way in. We install EPDM, TPO, and modified bitumen systems that keep surfaces watertight and are built to handle the freeze-and-thaw cycles common in this area.

Experience the Meridian Contracting difference, backed by 15+ years of trusted roofing experience in Rockland and Westchester Counties.
If it’s installed right and checked on every few years, it’ll last 40 to 70 years. We’ve seen plenty still holding strong after decades in upstate weather.
Rockland runs about $8 to $11 per sq. ft. Westchester’s a bit higher, closer to $9 to $12, mostly because of labor costs and permit differences.
It’s a metal roof with the screws tucked underneath, so water doesn’t get in as easily. Snow also slides off quickly, which helps during rough winters.
Yes. A lot of buyers see it as a long-term upgrade. We’ve had clients sell faster or get better offers because the new roof took maintenance worries off the table.
Usually, yes, if the roof was installed by a certified crew and maintained properly. But some storm stuff goes through your homeowners’ insurance, not the product warranty.
Let’s make your home stronger, safer, and more beautiful — together.
